Smoked Herring Fillets

Herring is a smaller fish, also native to the North Atlantic Ocean. After processing it is salted and naturally smoked for a rich, smoky flavour. Herring is a natural source of Omega-3 fatty acids. We offer both whole herring, known as “bloaters” and smoked herring fillets. Fillets are packaged both in bulk and in vacuum packed retail packages. Our vacuum packages are shelf-ready in retail portions, complete with a fixed weight and UPC. They eliminate the need for costly in-store repackaging, including labour, packaging expense and yield loss, and they simplify HACCP-compliance at the store level.

Our whole smoked herring are available in both “Choice” and “Split” varieties. All of our herring is naturally smoked and has a rich, smoky flavour. Herring is a natural source of Omega 3 fatty acids.

All of our herring products are harvested from the icy cold waters of the North Atlantic.
